SOIL CONDITIONER: pH DOWN is designed to lower the pH of alkaline (high pH) soils.
AGRICULTURAL USE (Vegetables, Strawberries, and Other Crops): Add 1-2 pints of pH Down per 100 gallons of irrigation water to be applied. Monitor soil pH. Repeat once a month until desired soil pH is achieved.
TURF & LAWNS: Apply pH DOWN at a rate of 3-6 ounces per 1,000 square feet in at least 10 gallons of water monthly.
TREES AND ORNAMENTALS:Â Apply pH DOWN as a root injection or soil drench. Soil pH may be lowered slowly. Apply 2-4 ounces per 1,000 square feet in at least 10 gallons of water or 1-2 pints per 100 gallons of water to be applied.
WATER CONDITIONER: pH DOWN is designed to lower the pH of alkaline (high pH) water.
TANK MIX BUFFER SOLUTION:Â Add pH DOWN before adding pesticides. Add 1-2 pints of pH DOWN per 100 gallons of water. Be sure to slowly add the pH DOWN to the tank checking with a pH meter until the desired pH is reached, then add pesticides. Refer to pesticide labels for correct pH range (generally 5.5-6.5). If the solution in the tank is not used the same day, be sure to check the pH again and adjust if necessary.
COMPLEXING AGENT:Â Mix 1-part pH DOWN with at least 1-part water and 1-3 parts of secondary or micronutrient solution and then pour into NPK solution. If chemical reaction occurs, add more pH DOWN and agitate until the solution is clear.
EQUIPMENT AND TANK CLEANING:Â Calcium, iron, zinc and other nutrients often form precipitates with phosphorus in mixing tanks. pH DOWN can dissolve these precipitates and place them back in solution. Add 3-4 quarts of pH DOWN per 100 gallons of water and agitate until solids are dissolved.
CAUTION: Always conduct a jar test and consult other product labels for compatibility prior to the use of pH DOWN. pH DOWN is an acid solution and therefore should not be used with products not compatible with acids. pH DOWN is not compatible with calcium thiosulfate.
