Starter Crystals 5-10-27 is a starter fertilizer designed for annual plants that require moderate nourishment. With a unique 1:2 N-P ratio, it promotes strong root development and balanced top growth. Additionally, its high potassium content supports plant enzyme systems and immune system development, setting your plants up for a healthy start.

Use STARTER CRYSTALS 5-10-27 on all agricultural and ornamental plants. Generally compatible with pesticides and other fertilizers. Always conduct a jar test before mixing products. Adjust application rates and frequencies based on specific crop needs and environmental conditions.
MIXING: Fill the tank with water and slowly add STARTER CRYSTALS while agitating. Continue to agitate until all STARTER CRYSTALS is completely dissolved.
- Dilute Application: 1-2 ounces (2-4 tablespoons) per 500 square feet or 5-10 pounds per acre. Dilute in 40-100 gallons of water
- Aerial Application: 0.5-2 ounces (1-4 tablespoons) per 500 square feet or 3-10 pounds per acre. Apply in sufficient water for good coverage.
- Irrigation Systems: Dissolve 8-10 pounds per acre in irrigation water in a mixing tank.
SOIL & ROOT CARE: Apply 1-2 ounces per 500 square feet or 5-10 pounds per acre, diluted in sufficient water. Use as a soil drench or inject into irrigation systems to enhance root development.
HOUSE PLANTS: Use 1 teaspoon per quart of water. Apply every 2-3 weeks during the growing season.
TURF & LAWNS: Apply 1-2 ounces per 500 square feet, diluted in 1-2 gallons of water; spray onto lawns or use an end-hose sprayer. For larger areas, use 5-10 pounds per acre. Repeat every 4-6 weeks as needed.
VEGETABLE & FIELD CROPS: Apply 1-2 ounces (2-4 tablespoons) per 500 square feet, dissolved in 1-2 gallons of water. For larger areas, use 5-10 pounds per acre, dissolved in 50-100 gallons of water.
- Common Vegetables (Carrots, Beets, Potatoes, Onions, etc.): Apply at key growth stages (e.g., pre-bloom, new growth).
- Legumes (Beans, Peas, Lentils): Apply at the first sign of bloom; follow up 2 weeks later.
- Cucurbits (Melons, Cucumbers): Apply every 2-3 weeks, starting before bloom.
- Field Crops (Corn, Cotton, Small Grains): Apply at specific growth stages; for corn, apply when 6”-8” tall and again before tasseling.
FRUITS & NUTS:
- Deciduous Fruits (Apples, Pears, etc.): Apply 0.5-1 ounce (1-2 tablespoons) per 500 square feet or 3-5 pounds per acre. Apply at delayed dormant, pre-bloom, and post-bloom stages. For concentrate sprays, use 2-2.5 ounces (2-5 tablespoons) per 500 square feet or 10-15 pounds per acre.
- Berries (Strawberries, Raspberries): Use 1-2 ounces (2-4 tablespoons) per 500 square feet or 5-10 pounds per acre. Apply in spring on new growth, followed by pre-bloom and again three weeks later.
- Citrus (Oranges, Lemons, etc.): Use 2-3.5 ounces (4-5 tablespoons) per 500 square feet or 10-20 pounds per acre for mature trees, dissolved in sufficient water for adequate coverage.
GREENHOUSE & NURSERY: Use 5-10 pounds per acre, dissolved in sufficient water; or inject into irrigation at 1:1,000 ratio. Repeat every 2-3 weeks during active growth.
HYDROPONICS: Dilute 2 teaspoons per gallon of water in the nutrient tank.
