GENERALGENERAL TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
- CHARGING BIOCHAR: Place biochar in a container and saturate it with water. Mix in organic matter, nutrients, and microbes.
- BOTTOM LAYERING: For new planting or transplanting, add a 0.25-0.5-inch layer of biochar at the bottom of the hole, container, or beds.
- WATERING AFTER APPLICATION: Thoroughly water the compost materials or soil after applying biochar.
POTTING SOIL: Mix 10% TerraTonic Biochar by volume into your potting soil.
GARDENS & RAISED BEDS: Mix 1 cubic foot of TerraTonic Biochar into the top 4-6 inches of soil in a 4’x8’ raised garden bed.
TREES & SHRUBS: Mix 10% TerraTonic Biochar by volume into the soil in the root zone.
LAWNS: Seeding – Apply 1 cubic foot of TerraTonic Biochar to the top 2-4 inches of soil per 25 square feet and gently rake grass seeds into the soil. Maintenance – After aeration, spread 1 cubic foot of TerraTonic Biochar per 100 square feet.
CO-COMPOSTING: New Pile: Mix 5-10% TerraTonic Biochar by volume, uniformly distributed between layers of organic materials. Existing Pile: Add an additional 3-5% TerraTonic Biochar.
COMPOST MIX: Mix 10-50% TerraTonic Biochar by volume into finished compost.
