Our vision at Jeden Bioscience is that youngsters at the earliest grade levels get to experience lessons in gardening, food waste, composting, soil health, and sustainable agriculture. This means how healthy foods are grown for themselves and others in a way that supports the environment. These lessons can be engaged in right up through high school and beyond and can become their standard lifestyle practice.
Earthwise Education Program by Rotary District 5240
The Earthwise Education program, currently in development by Rotary District 5240, aims to collaborate with over 80 schools across four counties in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Kern counties of California. The program focuses on promoting environmental sustainability through school initiatives centered around food waste reduction, composting, and integrating students with eco-friendly practices in nutrition and agriculture, all while ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.
Technology for Sustainable Practices
Jeden introduces Reencle Composter, providing an optimal environment for microorganisms to efficiently convert food scraps into nutrient-rich compost in just 24 hours. This technology reduces food waste by up to 90% in a single day when implemented in school cafeterias. By incorporating this technology, schools can create composting solutions for their gardens and science classes, allowing students to learn firsthand about the importance of reducing food waste, conserving water, and engaging in environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
Utilizing TerraTonic Biochar
Jeden also offers TerraTonic Biochar compost and soil amendment as a valuable resource. By incorporating TerraTonic Biochar into the composting process, the results are accelerated, and the quality of compost is enhanced. TerraTonic Biochar promotes microbial activity by retaining nutrients, oxygen, and moisture, ultimately improving the composting process.
